Northern Plains Botanic Garden Society Annual Meeting

Guest Speaker: Dr. Jim Swasey, professor of horticulture, University of Delaware and director of the graduate program at Longwood Gardens. Dr. Swasey's topic will be: "Longwood Gardens: Ideas for Planning, Marketing and Programming." Dr. Swasey visited the NPBGS in April of 1998 when our organization was just forming and he spoke on "The Role of Community Gardens." His positive influence and contribution to the NPBGS during its inception has been valuable. We look forward to hearing more ideas from Dr. Swasey as the NPBGS is getting closer to its goal of developing a botanic garden and conservatory.

In addition to hearing our quest speaker, we will hear a report from our President, Larry Fischer, and from other board members for our annual report.

Notice to NPBGS Members: We will be voting for 5 new board members. Dr. Dale Herman and Mr. Matthew Torgerson are leaving the board as their terms have expired and Mr. Steve Hulbert resigned in November. We will be replacing these three positions and voting for two additional new board positions for a total of 5 new board members (15 board members total). All paid members of the NPBGS are invited to this meeting and encouraged to vote for the new board members at the annual meeting. Individuals who are not currently members and wish to join may do so at the annual meeting so that they can vote. You are welcome to bring interested friends and guests.

Refreshments will be served.

We hope to see you there.

Parking is in the south parking lot of the Neuropsychiatric Research Institute and enter the building through the south door. If you arrive late and there is no door attendant to let you in, please ring the remote white doorbell that is atop the security card reader to the left of the door.
