The third annual Botanic Garden Golf Tournament will be held on Monday, July 16, at the Fargo Edgewood Golf Course.  Our goal this year is to have 18 four-person teams competing for cash prizes.  Prizes will be for winning the Tournament, longest drive, closest to the pin, and longest putt.  As in the past, we will have door prizes of donated plants.  Last year we had a door prize for everyone who entered the tournament. 

The cost for each player is $65.00, which will include green fees, ½ of a two-person cart rental, a post tournament steak dinner and prizes.  As in the past, golfer's spouses can partake in the steak dinner scheduled for 5:30 p.m. for a cost of $13.50 per person.

The teams can be made up of all men, all women, or mixed.  The handicap of the players will even the scoring.

This tournament has been a good fund raising effort for the society.   It has grown from four teams in 1999 to ten teams in 2000.  At the rate of increase projected, we hope to eventually fill the golf course with supporters of the Botanic Garden Society.
